FACILITY INFORMATION
N Street Village, founded in 1972, is a Washington, DC-based nonprofit that offers a safe, empowering community for women facing homelessness, poverty, and related challenges such as mental illness, addiction, and chronic health problems.
N Street Village now serves nearly 900 women each year, providing comprehensive services that include housing, case management, mental health therapy, physical health and wellness programs, job training and placement assistance, and support for basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter. The women served face extraordinarily complex problems and barriers to services, and their needs are often urgent. They provide a place for healing and growth and a strong social support network that gives the most vulnerable women among us the opportunity to achieve personal stability.
N Street Village has a proven track record of helping women improve their outcomes in housing, income, employment, and health by providing high-quality affordable housing, supportive services, and education and employment services.
